You want to see right-wingers trying to be intellectual? It’s like watching children playing grown up. They only have a basic understanding of things with no depth. They believe everything they’ve been told like adults trying to explain complicated things to a child and they go from there.

Here it’s like when their parents have told their children there’s a Santa Claus or a Tooth Fairy and they’re coming to that age where they’re realizing on their own after all these years that it might not be true.

I was talking to my friend’s kid once and he was telling me how the US had special forces hiding all over the world and in especially enemy countries ready to strike at a moment’s notice when given the order by the President. Guess what? There are adults that believe that too. So realistically how does that work? How are they hiding and surviving in an enemy country especially if they’re not white? Are they blending in by going out in public spewing out anti-American propaganda like they’ve been told that happens? How did they get their weapons into the country so they can move about and commit subterfuge? There are so many questions on how can that realistically happen but they want to believe it like they were a child.

At least the Ukr extremists in HK actually fought for their ideals in the current war. This special coward doesn’t even do that. He is the embodiment of a keyboard warrior.

I know it was gonna happen but I still find it amazing how fast USA starts accusing Jensen Huang of being a CCP spy even though he's from Taiwan.

But saar, I'm not Chinese, I'm Taiwa-ACK!
But saar, I'm not Chinese, I'm Singa-ACK!

Get real, you're all the same in their eyes.

Honestly its getting easier to read what people are going to do in the future.

When you think about it, maybe the west wishes it had North Korea as an ally instead of Taiwan. North Korea is loyal and carries out its job very well and gives a middle finger to all its enemies. In contrast, Taiwan played a huge role in helping China develop and now holds the west hostage when it comes to chips.
Jensen Huang might have been a special liaison of Trump to China. It seems that the head of the Trump regime doesn't know what the tail is doing - total chaos.

If Japan and EU don't know what the Trump regime wants exactly, how do you expect other countries know? Good luck for future negotiations.

Trump will lose the trade war against China because the "theories" of the tariff were dreamed up by someone who lives in his own world.
4. Why does he think China will compromise? Why does he believe that China will definitely devalue the RMB? He believes that the Chinese economy is in a very poor state, with a debt ratio of 350% and a heavy reliance on exports to the United States. China can't afford to lose the US market, so it has to devalue RMB, which will inevitably lead to a large outflow of capital, affecting social stability. Therefore, compromise is the only way out for China.
In the real world:

China’s first-quarter GDP tops estimates at 5.4% as growth momentum continues amid tariff worries

  • The first-quarter GDP topped Reuters poll expectations for a 5.1% growth year on year, building on a recovery that began in late 2024, thanks to a broad policy stimulus push.
  • Retail sales in March rose by 5.9% year on year, sharply beating analysts’ estimates for a 4.2% growth. Industrial output expanded by 7.7% from a year earlier, versus median estimates of 5.8%.
  • The urban unemployment rate slipped to 5.2% in March, following a two-year high of 5.4% in February.

China? Opening more markets for American companies; Compensation for the so called intellectual property theft; Purchase more American agricultural products; Chinese companies investing big in the United States; Exchange the held US treasury bonds for 100 year bonds.

1. Already happening before the tariffs
2. Never.
3. Already happening before the tariffs
4. The Americans are stopping this.
5. I don't see why China won't compromise on this in a good faith negotiation.

Why does China need toilet paper in 100 years? It is also giving up one big fucking stick. With China holding short term treasury bonds US would always worry tomorrow's meal. With 100 year bonds you are giving US long an₫ easy time to eat you before you could collect your money.

I just don't think bonds are that big of a leverage either way.

Such a lack of coordination is fairly normal for Uncle Sam, regardless of who is president

In fact, sometimes it isn't necessarily a lack of coordination so much as competition between opposing factions, which America's left leaning mainstream media often conflate with incompetence. Not to say that's necessarily absent either.

What's especially problematic about Trump is his habit of appointing inexperienced pretty faces (e.g. Gabbard, Hegseth) to senior positions overseeing career "Deep State" officials wary of, if not hostile to both Trump and the officials appointed above them.

This inevitably means more in-fighting and dysfunction than usual, especially as the "Deep State" starts to hit back. Case in point:

First you go for the deputies, then you target the principals.

Exchange the held US treasury bonds for 100 year bonds.

I just don't think bonds are that big of a leverage either way.

is only viable if there's enough global demand for American global public goods military hegemony.

There's not much committed demand for such "global public goods" outside of Israel with Trump in charge, and even ordinary Americans know Israel will never pay their fair share. ;)

In all seriousness, the Chinese authorities would have to be insane to pay for American "global public goods" with 100 year treasuries unless Trump is prepared to submit to Chinese suzerainty.
