The fact is you have no facts right now, so being so convinced of a pre-determined conclusion is not warranted.

However, it's still foolish as there will be less goods available to talk USA consumers because if the importing countries suffer due to low profit margins, then they will simply stop selling to the USA. Tariff individual countries makes others more competitive relative to that country, when you tariff everyone you're better be sure yourself is more competitive than everyone. US is not, which means this just leveled the playing field for China and turned tariff into an effective corporate tax hike, which will be pased onto being a sales tax hike. Getting tax hating MAGA to cheer a sales tax hike is certainly one of the moves of all time.
