Shutting down VOA?What has a dung beetle ever done to you to make you do their whole species dirty like that? Dun beetles are one of the best insects, just quietly cleaning away all the dung to make the world and better and cleaner place. When has Trump done anything remotely as constructive?
To be fair, Vance has a point, as Trump also has a point on trade imbalance. The fact of the matter is that the whole "globalization" was initiated by US capitalists or corporations, when the receiving countries or regions were perceived as some third-world weaklings. Trade by definition is agreement between buyer and seller. "Jobs" were not "stolen" by anyone, rather were "shipped" out by those capitalists or corporations backed by their own political elites. Trying to re-industrialization is a born right to any country. The core problem is that politicians such as Vance and Trump tend to scapegoat trading partners for their own issues at home, rather than going after those who started all this in their own backyard.
JD Vance, being very upfront about why the US is against globalization. Pretty blunt. Basically states that they can't beat china in trade.
They never expected china to catch up to them, always being their manufacturer of cheaper stuff. But never thought china would succeed in going up the value chain and surpassing them.
