Some interesting news, especially for members in Texas.
A while back there was this story of a prisoner swap between US and China. One person who was swapped back was Jin Shanlin who was a PhD student in Southern Methodist University, Texas.
He was basically caught torrenting child porn? I thought maybe it was planted evidence or something but his statements are a bit incriminating.
Anyways, recently Texas passed a bill that incriminates any depiction of a child (under 18) engaging in "obscene" activities, regardless of whether the depiction is an image of an actual child, a cartoon or animation, or an image created using an artificial intelligence application or other computer software.

The law is very broad, so yea Texan anime fans watch out. This might be coming to other states in US too. 'Murica is trying to take away your waifus, otakus in China should feel grateful.
