US, Russia ask UN Security Council to meet Monday on Syria

The United States and Russia have asked the United Nations Security Council to meet behind closed doors on Monday over the escalating violence in Syria, diplomats said on Sunday.

Maybe something big might go down?

I doubt the EU nazis dare to veto anything, they already shown their weakness on the ukraine UNSC vote earlier.

I think the US military needs to reestablish credibility in the eyes of the citizens in their own country and in their vassal states. They need to win a war in order to do that, I think Syria is the best choice. The US military needs to go in there and obliterate all those "terrorists" HTS i.e. Al Qaeda, ISIS, turkish proxies and who ever the US doesn't really like. This move wouldn't be opposed by either Russia or China and would have the moral support of most countries.

Only after the US establishes an outstanding victory on the battlefield, can the US military enact painful reforms within after.

Trump doesn't want to put boots on the ground, but killing terrorists is something the whole world can get behind.

This video on YT:

The amount of progress in Robotics over just the past year has been absolutely stunning. Feels like the "AI breakthrough" back in 2022. Difference is that most advancements are made in China. I don't see any serious Western competitor.

Just as people talk about the impact of AI on white collar work, we should probably prepare for the impact of robotics on blue-collar work in factories, construction etc.

AI and robotics go hand in hand. Can’t have effective robots without strong AI systems. Fortunately China is developing both instead of having to rely on another country for AI.

Washington, United States:

US Vice President JD Vance has claimed that he was chased by pro-Ukraine protesters in Ohio's Cincinnati when he was out on a walk with his three-year-old daughter on Saturday, leaving her "anxious and scared" by their shouts. According to the Republican leader, he decided to talk to the protesters - which resulted in a "mostly" respectful conversation.

"Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of "Slava Ukraini" protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared. I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone. (Nearly all of them agreed)," JD Vance wrote in a post X.

He added, "It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you're chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you're a s*** person."

"mostly respectful", as in "fiery, but mostly peaceful"?
