China can actually realistically take good care of Ukraine's mineral reserves, since US doesn't really have the tech. I think China should have a fair share for saving Zelensky, not anything oppressive to Ukraine. The profits should be partially invested in rebuilding Ukraine.
Now that Zelensky won't be welcome in the west, Russia will probably put him on trial (even if Russia isn't directly hostile to him) and Azov will just hang him, only Beijing can save Zelensky personally.

This does seem to be the plan is to force other countries not to do trade with China. The US found out they alone don’t have what it takes to force China to do anything they want. Now they have to sacrifice their allies to force them to only buy American to save their economy. And in the meantime the US is breaking records importing more from China than ever before. Just imagine if the US buys from China and then turns and sells it to Canada and Mexico at a higher price to make a profit. It’s not like Americans are actually going start making it themselves because they’re still going to be expensive on the production side. They’re doing it now with outsourcing their own products but this time everything will go through the US before being sold in another country. That’s how the US can profit from Chinese production.
Look at how easily US allies do everything the US tells them to do in the world even against their own interests. China isn’t yielding to the US. US allies will.

The problem of countries like Ukraine is that they are actually so behind mentally that they can't even notice who their betters are, which mean they stumble blindly around in the dark.
This is fine, that's why superior proxies like Russia or EU of even more higher up leaders like US or China exist, to guide and micromanage these mentally deficient cultures so they can achieve useful results. In this case, luckily, thanks to the foresight of Xi and Putin and the hard work of many skilled fighters, suppliers and industrialists in our countries, we will get everything and the Americans nothing.
Ukrainians are better off continuing to be the peasants they were under the tsar, or the USSR. Part of a bigger, more intelligent whole that does the thinking for them.
