Is this how you learned about America?
You said the US isn't supposed to support dictators, even when history shows they supported many dictators in the modern era (let's not even get into historical crimes)
Park Chung Hee
Ferdinand Marcos
Suharto
Noriega
Pinochet
Shah of Iran
The absolute monarchy of KSA (basically the complete opposite of democracy)

Don't forget that many of the drug cartel enforcers learned their tradecraft from the US School of the Americas

Feel free to continue to love America, but it's naive to actually believe that narrative
Don't forget Modi the idiot

Trump has a tendency to put words into other people's mouths so I will wait for confirmation from Russian side. If this is true, though, then Putin is a clown. I don't have much faith in Russian leadership, so if they get played like a fiddle again, I would not be surprised in the slightest.

Pretty sure Russia would be fine with European Blue Helmets in western Ukraine in exchange for full Ukrainian disarmament and Russian peacekeepers under Russian flag also in western Ukraine.
Then if Europeans do anything funny they get kicked out and Russia take over.

Russia has been clear that there will be no European participation in any Ukraine plan. It's slated to be a deal between Ukraine, UN and Russia (plus US possibly getting cashback from Ukraine when they pay reparations for freezing Russian assets).

it makes me angry how the USA has betrayed Ukraine, especially after 3 years of heroic resistance. Even though the ukranians have shown that they can inflict far greater economic costs on russians than the aid they receive. I genuinely feel sorry the ukranians. UN was established on the premise that no country can change borders with use of force. And now USA doesnt even support ukraine's resolution iin the UN chamber. Even though I still love the USA, this sounds like a despicable betrayal to Ukraine
I mean this outcome was pretty obvious back in the 2022 after Russia switched to strategy of attrition
Your error was only looking at how much Ukraine is costing Russia and not looking at how much Ukraine is costing NATO, nor how much reserve either side has.
Trump being in power is a direct result of the vastly greater economic pain NATO suffered, US abandoning Ukraine is a direct result of NATO being economically defeated by nations with larger real economies.

Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone.

BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua)
Xi said the two leaders had a video meeting before the Chinese Spring Festival during which they made plans for the development of China-Russia relations throughout the year and strengthened coordination on a series of major international and regional issues.

Various departments from both countries are steadily advancing cooperation in all fields in accordance with the consensus reached by the two leaders, including carrying out activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the 80th anniversary of the victory of World Anti-Fascist War, Xi said.

Xi said history and reality show that China and Russia are good neighbors that cannot be moved away, and true friends who share weal and woe, support each other and achieve common development.

Xi said China-Russia ties enjoy strong internal driving force and unique strategic value, adding that the relationship does not target any third party nor would it be influenced by any third party. The development strategies and foreign policies of China and Russia are for the long-term, he said.

Despite changes in the international situation, China-Russia relations will proceed with ease, which will help each other's development and revitalization, and inject stability and positive energy into international relations, he said.

Xi stressed that at the beginning of the overall escalation of the Ukraine crisis, he put forward the "four-should" and other basic proposals for resolving the crisis.

In September last year, China and Brazil, together with some countries of the Global South, set up the Group of Friends for Peace on the Ukraine crisis to create an atmosphere and accumulate conditions for promoting the political settlement of the crisis, Xi noted.

China is happy to see Russia and relevant parties make positive efforts to defuse the Ukraine crisis, he said.

The two sides agreed to continue to maintain communication and coordination through various means.

For his part, Putin said that Russia places significant importance on its relations with China and looks forward to maintaining high-level exchanges with China in the new year, deepening practical cooperation, and jointly commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

To develop relations with China is a strategic choice made by Russia with a long-term perspective, rather than an expedient measure, Putin said, adding that the strategy is not subject to any temporary trend or external interference.

Under the current circumstances, maintaining close communication between Russia and China aligns with the spirit of their comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, and will send a positive signal of their stabilizing role in international affairs, said Putin.

Putin also briefed on the latest Russia-U.S. contacts and Russia's stance on the Ukraine crisis, saying that Russia is committed to eliminating the root causes of the conflict and reaching a sustainable and lasting peace solution.

UN Blue Helmets can include Europeans, it's consistent with Russian position.
Remember Russian objective is to eliminate the Ukraine threat, UN peacekeepers doesn't contradict that goal.
It also doesn't change the reality that only effective annexation can prevent Ukraine from ever joining NATO, which means de-facto Russian annexation in exchange for UN peacekeepers under partial Russian command is perfectly acceptable.

It was inevitable, the USA is a nation incapable of loyalty and honour and since they did start the fight and ran away like a little bitch when they have all but lost, well I hope then when a nationwide crisis hits the USA (which is also inevitable), I hope the world will have a shred of decency not to send any sort of help and aid this time to force the USA to learn that actions have consequences. It’s not hard to understand that no countries like backstabbers and it’s high time the USA finally learns that loyalty and honour goes both ways. Since the nation behaves like a thug, it deserves to go down like one
I love USA because of the american ideals. Also, I dream of visiting the sequoia national park. I am a believer of the "american dream" as well. Of course, I would love to have more USDs, but if wealth was the priority, I would rather prefer monaco and luxemburg over the USA.
Spoken like a person that has been completely brainwashed. The next couple of years is not going to be easy for some who cling to CNN and Fox
