They were "scoping" you out to see if you were say a group of vulnerable young folks especially young women-for harassment or worse.Any hint of strength /fight and these craven jackals will flee.Happen to me as well as I was fishing near a lakeside park alone but the 4 trashoids thought it over when I noticed them immediately(situational awareness is everything in a social/self-defence situation)Damn, this is actually very true, I didn't realize it until now.
I was on a date night before on a weekday in secluded part of a provincial/state park, it was around midnight and I haven't seen other people/cars around for hours. We were parked in an giant empty parking lot (300 or more spots?) in front a of big lake just watching the stars after adapting our eyes to total darkness for half an hour. Then suddenly this car with full lights pulls up and parks right beside us. I thought it might have been the park services people checking up on us, but no it was just some Indians. These guys just stayed in the car and left their music and headlights on. I didn't want to find another spot and wait for our eyes to adapt again so we just left after 10 mins. I couldn't understand why those Indians parked right beside us considering there were like 20 other parking spots with identical lakefront views, but looking back now I guess it was just a tactic to get us to leave.
