We obviously come from different cultures, so it's understandable that there might be some difficulties in communications.

Personally, I think the plan is to allow Russia to keep eating Ukraine so that they are then forced to accept the US's deal. Basically "Do as I say, or I will let the hounds eat you" It's a tactic the Yakubians use in their domestic politics quite often against vulnerable groups.
