I think Trump has said what he said regarding 'taking over' Gaza just as some kind of favor to Netanyahu, it's too nonsensical to be considered seriously I think.

The fact that many Israelis like Katz or Nethanyahu loved this idea which obviously will never come to fruition proves there is reason for it.

The Israelis fear of Gazans is mostly irrational to outsiders but this reveals that there is a reason behind it? I was speaking to a close friend who knows insiders and he said the Gazans decimated the IDF in Gaza which surprised the Israelis and they are the only one who know about the true casualities they took in Gaza which is shocking number in both men and material. They are still struggling with recruits. IDF got nearly whipped out in Gaza and they don´t want a repeat of that which is why all this Gaza talk is over the top to most people but the Israelis want none of the Gazans ever again

"McKinsey partners have been questioning the consulting giant’s presence in China, worried that doing business there may not be worth the risks, given the Asian superpower’s increasingly volatile relationship with the US.

Some senior partners have been voicing these concerns since late last year, even before Donald Trump was re-elected with a pledge to ratchet up pressure on China, according to people familiar with the matter. The partners argue the lucrative North American business can more than offset a China retreat, some of the people said, declining to be identified as the details are private.

The push to scale back the loss-making China operation is at odds with global managing partner Bob Sternfels, who says the firm needs to maintain its international footprint, which includes offices in around 130 cities across 65 countries.

“Being global is a choice,” Mr Sternfels told staff in a memo late last year. “Frankly, it is the more difficult choice to make. I know this is difficult and may become increasingly so.”

While the memo wasn’t in response to any internal concerns about China, the debate underscores the dilemma facing many high-profile multinational firms caught in the political crosshairs of the world’s two largest economies. Competition for supremacy in everything from computer chips to autos, along with fresh tariffs bring more headwinds for US firms with China operations.[...]"

If those partners think NorthAm business can offset exiting CN, since late last year, why arent they leaving yet?

Those partners are shortsighted idiots. Management consulting firms like McKinsey often get unfettered access to their clients’ operations and gain a lot of insights on the clients’ business processes. They then compile those knowledge into guides to best practices. Other companies pay big bucks to McKinsey to help them to adopt those best practices. At least that is in the old days.

By staying in China, McKinsey can learn a lot from successful Chinese companies and can provide Western intelligence agencies with lots of info.

This is a very bizarre story:

(1) Agencies like the CIA employ couriers trained and paid to physically handle and transmit especially sensitive materials. Sometimes they'll tell you that they work for the State Department as a diplomatic courier.

(2) The White House is plugged into multiple Secret and Top Secret level intranets. There's no way this supposed list couldn't have been transmitted more securely.

Someone either intentionally botched this, or major pieces of this story is missing.

Agreed that there is a hell of a lot more to this story than just incompetence.

A spy’s hidden true identity is like your virginity, once you loose that you ain’t ever getting it back.

Having your true identity revealed is usually a career ender for spies, you can’t even do back-end analyst jobs as you will be too much of a security risk since adversaries can specifically target you for recruitment or monitoring. Knowing one spy and seeing who they interacted with can allow you to compromise more spies and basically the damage can be potentially massive and unlimited.

This was basically a purge.

The most likely reason is that Biden and the democrats basically aren’t much better than Trump, and spent the last two years of their time in power stuffing their own people into the CIA to try and assert control/prevent a Trump takeover of the agency once he is in power.

All that is undone with this one simple trick.
