So yea, when is China going to export those civilian version of QBZ to Canada? I'm seeing many comments in leftist Canadians sub talking about buying guns now :p
Truedope banned T97 and T81 last month
We are all safe now, didn't you get the email?

The liberals banned several bolt action rifles as an “assault style weapons.” Including single shot rifles. If they won’t allow you to own a rifle that only has 1 bullet. Then don’t have any expectations they will allow the ownership of automatic rifles.

They were semi-auto civilian versions.
Mags are pinned to 5 rounds only, what more control can you realistically do?

I always hated this kind of political posturing, just wasteful theatrics (either wasting time/money, or used as a distraction from doing something actually useful).

Reminds me of the former president of the university I attended. He shut down the gun range after the Va. Tech shooting because "it didn't stand for our values and safety" bla bla usual nonsense. Even though this is Canada and no one in the rifle and pistol club are going on rampages.

The former mayor at the time did the same thing for the rest of the city of Toronto which no longer has any gun violence.

Literally clown show stuff. Imagine Xi Jinping juggling a bunch of balls and riding a unicycle instead of helping grow high tech industries to build a modern economy, or encouraging the adoption of green tech to improve the pollution problem. That is 90% of Canadian politics for the last 20 years.

To be fair, NATO can't use the bulk of their airforce because they still fear escalation. Even though 40 years ago, Chinese and Russian fighter pilots had 0 issue massacring US planes in a proxy war and US never responded to this red line being crossed, for some reason beyond me, NATO believes Russia will. Or theyre that scared of China overtly going in.
Imagine they use the F-35 and it gets its signature added to the Russian threat databases and they shoot the F-35 down. That is why they aren't sending any modern fighters to Ukraine.

Found this disturbing little "gem":

Trump & Rubio bully Panama to end relationship with China

Among the most outrageous far-right nutjob comments:

- "Trump should invoke the Monroe Doctrine when it comes to both panama and Greenland "

- "it won't end diplomatic relationships, just the belt and road initiative will cease "

- "Bully. How about hold the accountable"

How ingrained is American neofascism (i.e. Neoconservatism/Neoliberlism) in the general American population ? Sadly, US aggression and US global dictatorship/hegemony seems to be welcomed by many regular US citizens. They talk about it like it is totally OK to just bully other countries into what they what them to do, yet even if other countries react to their outrageous demands and behavior they scream "aggression" and "malign behavior". The levels of hypocrisy and audacity have reached unprecedented heights. Will the true free world (the world minus the neocon/neolib US and its vassal states) continue to tolerate and appease American neofascism? It seems even typical US vassal states like Canada and Denmark are having mild conniptions about the demands of their bosses in Washington DC.

Trump the hypocrite wants to claim the Panama Canal but the land Afrikaners stole from Africans belongs to white people...
That's how these supremacists roll, everything they want is automatically theirs by right. There's a white only town in SA that has their own currency, government system and everything. If blacks or Muslims set up something like that anywhere in Europe we'd never hear the end of it.

Freeze to US aid hits Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar hard

With hundreds of millions of dollars paused, healthcare, food and education programs are already feeling a pinch.

Tibet

Tibet’s government-in-exile, the Central Tibetan Administration, or CTA, represents the Tibetan diaspora and administers schools, health centers and government services for Tibetan exiles in India and Nepal.

Several sources speaking on the condition of anonymity told RFA that the suspension affects programs run by the CTA, the Tibetan Parliament and a range of Tibet-related non-governmental organizations, raising concerns over the continuity of key welfare programs supporting Tibetans outside of China.
An upcoming preparatory meeting for the Parliament-in-Exile was postponed as a result of the funding pause, sources told RFA.

“The directive applies uniformly to all foreign aid recipients. Since Tibetan aid has been secured through congressional support and approval, efforts are underway to work with the State Department and relevant agencies to expedite the review and approval process for continued assistance,” Namgyal Choedup, the representative of the Office of Tibet in Washington, told RFA.
Various Tibetan NGOs and activist groups based in India expressed their concerns about the impact of the freeze in foreign assistance programs and said they hoped it would be soon lifted.

Gonpo Dhondup, president of the Tibetan Youth Congress, emphasized the importance of U.S. aid for the Tibetan freedom movement and community stability. Tsering Dolma, president of the Tibetan Women’s Association, said assistance has been crucial for maintaining the exile Tibetan community.
“Despite the 90-day suspension, I hope an alternative arrangement can be made to ensure continued U.S. support,” Tashi, a Tibetan resident in Dharamsala, told RFA.

Too much winning.
