Where is the plan to facilitate land acquisition and construction at an affordable price that will net a positive ROI for a company for something as investment heavy as manufacturing?
Where is the plan to finance equipment acquisition as above, since companies love to talk about "asset light"?
Where is the plan to attract foreign talent to staff supervisory positions in a new plant?
Where is the plan to build a comprehensive supply chain? Did you know US companies are already buying things like CKD kits for LCD TVs to put "Assembled in America" on the box? If you wanted to build the actual TV in America, where do you begin? Panel plant? Electronics plant to create the mainboard? LCD driver chips?
Anyone who wants to know the difficulty (not impossibility) of "Made in America" should read the story of the Mac Pro. The company did not have the right equipment to produce a certain kind of screw.
Look at Chinese companies investing in American manufacturing like CRRC and Fuyao, Chinese engineers and training in China for American staff is required due to skills attrition in the US.
