Likely continuation of the DUV N+ techniques that Liang Mong developed at TSMC before bringing it to SMIC.

Means that TSMC don't need super expensive EUVs from ASML.

By extension, it means SMIC and China can continue the same path it now has with the 7NM to far more advance nodes even without EUV.

But EUV is coming in China nonetheless just extra pathways now :)

This might be better serve in the semicon thread if confirmed.

Is probably fake, this person say that can replace multipatterning so is not DUV or projection lithography in general.
