The fact is DeepSeek works as hyped. That's why they have to bring up privacy concerns because if it weren't better than the best the West has to offer, that's what they would be talking about to easily discredit. I don't get why they even bothered over "the US has to dominate AI in the world" narrative unless they were planning to use it like they think China is going to weaponize it actively against the US. The US will just have their AI and China will have theirs. What's the problem with that unless the US was planning to use their AI to actively undermine China.
I just started watching this channel and this Julie McCoy was parroting videos from David Shapiro knocking down DeepSeek was fake using technical jargon. Now both are accepting DeepSeek is real but of course still sticking to their anti-China guns. I just started watching this David Shapiro who's treated like some expert yet how did he think automatically DeepSeek was a fraud at first only to change his tune?

It's the Fall of Rome time for the US.
I bet they think just stopping Americans from using it, DeepSeek falls apart. If it was that simply, why are they concerned with the US has to be the leader in AI in the world? All they have to do is just not use it and it becomes useless for China and for anyone else too. This is the same kind of thinking when I heard someone say there would be no jobs in China if it weren't for the US. So a cook in a restaurant in China feeding Chinese wouldn't exist if it weren't for the US? So how did China stay around for the thousands of years where the US didn't exist if the US provided all those jobs for Chinese...? That's the kind of dummies that run the US.
