I honestly dislike Europeans more than even Americans a lot especially the western ones.

At least uncle sam is brave enough to stand in front of me and say these things. Meanwhile Europeans hide behind uncle sam and repeat what he says while still having the gall to act like they are independent.

Notice how they keep saying they oppose America but immediately act like bootlookers when a Democrat liberal is in charge. So basically they have no problem with America in reality which is why they are part of nato.

So yeah. I guess thats why I like Trump over Biden in some ways. He tells these sycophants to stop leeching of him and to face their opponents themselves. No wonder Chihuahuas are so butthurt.

So seeing Europe's economy esp the western part go to hell these past few years feels good honestly.
I think you're just reacting normally to the fact that EU leaders are cowards and sycophants.

But it's important to understand - they did not get there by chance or because that's the sort of people Europeans wanted to lead them.

The US put them there. Through a combination of elite education, networking, funding, and lobbying, the US has fingers on nearly all of the high-standing members of the European Commission and the EU administration. Even the local European leaders, many if not most of them, especially those on the left, were funded and promoted by the US. This goes back to the beginnings of post-World War 2 Europe being essentially rebuilt by the US and the British; much like Japan.

John Bolton has no clearance anymore, as per the order of Emperor Trump. Very specifically mentioned.

Oh, one step closer to this old freak to be sent to the shadow realm I take it. It seems his evil deeds are starting to catch up on this bastard. One way or the other, everything he has done to the world will be repaid in full whether in this life or the next and this is just the start. I wonder about the likelihood of some serious vigilante justice just coming in randomly because this old shit seems to enjoy causing bad things to happen without any empathy whatsoever so I hope on the day that justice finally reaches him, that same lack of empathy will be the reaction to his demise. It’s only fair and absolutely nothing will be missed

For the past several years, I've been coming to SDF nearly every day to get updates on the competition between China and the United States. Though I never posted, I enjoyed reading everything you guys had to say.

Starting today, I will no longer browse SDF, because China has clearly won.

In every area, from diplomacy to standard of living to technology, China is now clearly ahead of the US. Today's release of DeepSeek-R1, and the central government's corresponding statement of support for further AI development, is the final nail in the coffin. I will occasionally return to check on progress with EUV, but in my opinion the competition is over. Now I can go live my life. Thanks to everybody for posting.
In my opinion, it'll be truly over when China gets a working EUV lithography system.

Agree with everything you say except this usage of "left" is very confusing for European eyes to read. Nothing critical but worth to note.

In Europe, Communist is left, social democrate and labour party (like in UK) are center left. Llibral party like CDU in Germany are center right or right, AfD is right or "extreme" right depending on who is speaking. So in fact the ones who are linked more to US in Europe are the rights like von der Leyen (CDU) rather than left. Another example is in the new NATO member Sweden, social democrat was always hesitate to join NATO, the right parties are always the pusher.

I think the difference is that outside of US where there were socialist movement in their history, left is used to refer to the relationship (now or past) to the socialist movement from late 1800s. US never had a real socialist movement, both "left" and "right" in US context are mix of (world) left and right in various aspects. I don't try to claim whose definition is right, just saying that these words have become meaningless like "mariage" in the west.

whenever anyone talks about Harvard tuition like this, I know they are either deeply unserious or are totally unfamiliar with top US schools. If you are powerful, they give you a full ride. If you can’t afford it, they will probably give you financial help. Top schools are much much more willing to give financial help than more mediocre ones like say, NYU or USC. These schools all have huge endowments (much of which is specifically for student aid), so they don’t care about tuition as much
