Isn't too surprising. They have just been bombed to shit by one of their "friends" and look like a bunch of dweebs now. So now they want to strengthen their ties with Iran as a fallback plan.
I've searched it up trying to find any news channel talking about this alleged private contact.. not a single news source even mentioned this alleged "contact".
the only source for this "news" is this random twitter account "the Sirius Report".
so obviously it is not true.
the only thing that I found when googling Iran Syria news was Iran claiming that the terrorists in Syria are preparing around 11k to attack Iraq. whether Iranian claims are true or not is another matter.
"Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council, says that there are 11,000 ISIS terrorists trained in an American camp in northern Syria, indicating the possibility that they will launch an attack on Mosul or Tikrit in the coming months."
