Bill Gertz is one of the old guard white guy China military journalists along with Richard Fisher.
If you are old enough to remember (at least 30+), they would typically fall for all kinds of rumors owing to their lack of knowledge of Chinese. They also played up China threats typical of that time period, reverse engineering/tech theft, etc. etc.
Both produced fairly academic style pieces, but it looks like Gertz has now swung to the "far-right" style of journalism

I hope China is prepared because this world seems to be entering chaos much earlier than expected.

It's here you realize no amount of moralizing will save you. Only pure hard results learnt through wit and blood.

The Kushiyara immersion ghat in Sribhumi town is home to a Manasa temple, which had fallen into a dilapidated condition. Reports indicate that BGB personnel arrived at Sribhumi aboard a speedboat from the Jakiganj point in Bangladesh's Sylhet division. Upon reaching the Indian side, they instructed the workers to stop the renovation work.

Flag Meeting Resolves Issue​

In the evening, a commandant-level flag meeting was held between BSF and BGB officials at the Sribhumi border point. During the meeting, BSF officials clarified that the renovation was related to the restoration of an existing temple and was unrelated to the ongoing India-Bangladesh tensions. Following the discussions, the issue was resolved, and BSF authorized the temple authorities to continue with the renovation work.

Maybe there were some truths to those Bangladesh tanks along Indian border earlier. Jai Hinds have gotten roused up lately, their new sites even have polls on whether to send a "Peacekeeping" force into Bangladesh.

Tik Tok is closer to getting banned in the land of the free. Its possible that Trump does a favor for his donor with a executive order by saying "we investigated and tik tok is no longer in violation since its operating with xyz." I honestly watch douyin more these days. Any idea if they are using US servers/CDN or if the ban also targets it? Maybe not since you need a chinese phone number to get an account?
