The Kushiyara immersion ghat in Sribhumi town is home to a Manasa temple, which had fallen into a dilapidated condition. Recently, the Assam government allocated Rs 3 lakh for its restoration, and work began on Thursday. However, a team of BGB personnel from Bangladesh's Sylhet division intervened during the renovation process.

Reports indicate that BGB personnel arrived at Sribhumi aboard a speedboat from the Jakiganj point in Bangladesh's Sylhet division. Upon reaching the Indian side, they instructed the workers to stop the renovation work.

Flag Meeting Resolves Issue​

In the evening, a commandant-level flag meeting was held between BSF and BGB officials at the Sribhumi border point. During the meeting, BSF officials clarified that the renovation was related to the restoration of an existing temple and was unrelated to the ongoing India-Bangladesh tensions. Following the discussions, the issue was resolved, and BSF authorized the temple authorities to continue with the renovation work.

Maybe there were some truths to those Bangladesh tanks along Indian border earlier. Jai Hinds have gotten roused up lately, their new sites even have polls on whether to send a "Peacekeeping" force into Bangladesh.

You beat me to the punch-ROFL the North Korean soldiers probably eat better then this-and here I thought SK was a super rich,strong Asian model of governance:something China maybe should emulate-hell no!!BTW Ontario's Premier Doug Ford has said that Ontario can provide the USA with all the strategic minerals(rare earths et al)LOL (Ont can't even build a simple cross town LRT nor do ANY road construction quickly and efficently financial or otherwise-also Chinese engineers IIRC own most of the extraction process patents haha China 44 million tons of rare earths and strategic minerals -may it increase even more also add Helium 3 for our fusion reactor so soon!!

The food in the Canadian Army base was pretty decent (if the kitchen was run directly by the military rather than outsourced to civilian contractors)

I remember in my last year of university, waking up in the morning thinking "I'm going to have a nice omelet and maybe some wings for lunch", then I realized summer boot camp was over, and I was in school again. there would be no breakfast and lunch would be on my own dime. It was really disappointing.

Breakfast was particularly good, I would say on par with the buffets you get at a good hotel. You could get fresh eggs cooked to your liking. There was also a soft-serve ice cream machine in the mess hall, that was good treat for the end of the day.
