I just found out that between 2019-2023, 61% of china's entire arms exports went to Pakistan.

What do you think is the reason?? To counteract India or some other ulterior motive?

Why don't you postulate your own hypothesis as to the motive behind the high amount of Chinese military arms exports to your country of origin, that is Pakistan rather than ask people here to come up with "ulterior" motive.

From a Chinese perspective. It doesn't make sense to arm Pakistan that much. It plays a balancing act between US and China and its air force is still heavily US based. The relationship is very one-sided in favour of Pakistan and I say this as a Pakistani. China gets nothing. Pakistan gets protection from india, access to its satellites and Chinese money.

And this is a discussion forum so I'm free to ask any question.

Just speculating but Pakistan has widely respected armed forces (or at least the air force) and provides a shop window for Chinese arms, e.g. J-10C. Also gives India something to worry about.

Is if this a Canada-specific thing or is Canada being used by the Five Eyes powers as a trial balloon? Indians have long deluded themselves that they are almost a Western country and "part of the club". Many middle-class Indians already mentally live in the West.

But the Western deep state suffers no equals, only vassals. If you are unwilling to bend the knee, you get the hostility (as China). Is India prepared for that?
