Even for those who have flood insurance, the extent of the damage means reinsurance policies are going to have to be invoked with the USG stepping in. A lot of those areas are going to be seeing sky high insurance premiums which is going to add to the cost of living crisis. But i'm sure these americans understand how important it is for insurance companies to keep generating sky high profits for the shareholders. All for the shareholders y'see.
A lot of those areas may even become uninsurable just like how in new zealand you can't get earthquake insurance because of how frequent earthquakes are in new zealand/
