India joining an Asia nato would be bad for them they would instantly lose Russia as an ally. Might also be placed at the kiddy table during SCO and BRICS meetings.
I mean India is already in the QUAD, which is basically NATO-lite. Also Jaishankar barely refused the Asian NATO idea, he basically just said not now. Never trust India.
