Corporates that clear large amounts of revenue are clearly providing valuable goods and services others are willing to voluntarily pay for
This is something that is not true and it was so kind of the Americans to teach us this, even if it was inadverdently. A Chinese company that chases profits at all costs outsourcing its critical tech components overseas to the best bid is useless to China's national power; it is worse than useless because it competes with wholesome Chinese companies in the Chinese market. What are wholesome companies? Those that invest in China, buy Chinese parts, find ways to make these parts perform on par with or better than the foreign parts they could have more easily and empty-mindedly purchased, and contribute overall to the advancement of Chinese technology from the ground up. A small wholesome company is worth infinitely more than any number of large zombie companies assembling foreign parts, picking the low-hanging fruit for nothing but money: artificially valued paper. When a small wholesome company gets a solid footing, then expands into a huge wholesome company, then we have a national champion.

Come to think of it, this is another factor in China's gdp growing slower than before: it is the transformation and fat-cutting of large zombie corporations that relied on doing massive amounts of business depending on foreign critical supply chains into lean and mean indigenous tech companies that can truly fight in the tech war. The first phase is turning 10 pounds of fat into 6 pounds of muscle. The second phase is replicating that muscle and spirit into fighting giants giving rise to a forest of national champions. Seeing American struggle and suffer defeat to just 1 Huawei, it's honestly overkill but... you know, once China gets started, there's no stopping it. As the Germans say, "Once the Chinese come after your craft, consider your days numbered."

Only the most ignorant would say that. IBM is a remarkable company that is still prospering after pivoting from office equipment to computers to services garnering the most corporate patents globally for the last three decades.
I mean IBM are not among the best but we cannot condemn that their personnel, especially ethnic Chinese, are incompetent. It could just be that their potential have been stifled by poor management, as is most often the case when companies go downhill. It should not be easily assumed that they are of worse quality than for example Huawei engineers just because the end product is much worse. So China should welcome these new engineers and try to give them the leadership they deserve.

Imho a genuine zombie company would be one like Chrysler or GM, propped up on subsidies only.

Companies that do a large amount of low level outsourcing also have their job in China, as long as they are profitable. They train R&D employees, industrial planners and so on.

Generally the public that can afford a premium are gonna expect a homemade product, but not everyone can pay a premium. And in the meantime, companies specializing in extracting superprofits from the west and global south are training industry leaders and engineers that can one day create premium/breakthrough products, while their profits are used to expand China's hold on international resources and home industry.

At the same time, they also choke out China's competitors from their profits in their own home markets.

I honestly don't have faith in companies especially tech ones that have high amounts of Indians in management positions. Even more if they have an Indian CEO.

Indians love following rising up the bureaucracy ranks just like when they were part of the British empire. The problem is with bureaucracy and government mindset is your care more about conserving and taking the safest path. In tech especially this is an easy way to get your company killed one day.

Indian infiltration follows the same route as Jewish infiltration of western elite circles and the levers of power. Elite European factions were fighting each other vying for position that they promoted seemingly harmless, obedient and mealy mouthed Jews into power (the rise of the Rothschilds being a classic eg). Once in power, these Jews promoted their own much as Indians promote their own until a tipping point is reached.
In the case of the five eyes, my observation is that white anglos are more afraid of Asian competitors and colleagues that they will promote the Indian as a safe choice for the same above reasons.

I interned at IBM for a summer in high school. Does that count.
I did cooperative student jobs at IBM for 3 semesters way back when I was in college...........At Austin Texas IBM site, two semester at AWD advanced workstation division working on risc rs/6000 ASICs(I was doing testcases for simulation as a student, not design), and one semester at IMB PC company.

Maybe not that much to IBM directly from this one specific move, but it will have far wider and broader ramifications for not just IBM but American companies as a whole, if not all Anglosphere vassals as well. Because Chinese employees of those companies are going to take note of this and become potentially very unsettled as a result of this and all the previous warning signs and start jumping ship.

As invariably happens in such cases, the best and brightest tend to be the first to move on, and that can start a cascade cycle that becomes almost impossible to stop once it gets going, and can quickly effectively neuters the whole company.

In a way, I think this has already been happening on the down-low for quite some time now, and the free fall of western companies across the board is likely a result where the quiet Chinese workers who were the actual brains and hearts driving force behind the success of western companies jump ship and are replaced by weaker Anglo employees, or worse, outright lying Jai Hinds who use online cheating bibles to land jobs and then proceeds to squeeze out anyone remotely capable and competent to lower the overall standard of the company to their level so they cannot be fired for being incompetent, and the bring in all their family and friends who do the same until the whole company gets Boeing’d or Twittered.
US and China are in a technology war, an industry war, an economic war, and a financial war, the expected September fall of interest rate is just an armistice, and the war will resume later. So companies are picking sides, soon or later, computer system side, DELL much earlier, IBM now, HP also. ASIC companies Intel, AMD, qualcomm and nVidia tries to not pick a side, but it is hard. Internet and software companies Google and Meta pick sides long ago, amazon and microsoft will follow soon.
