The second paragraph under "Programme":

The weapon delivers 250kg HE or HEAT grenades in either single or burst mode, with a sustained rate of fire of 45rds/min.

That would be 250 g of HE. I would find it quite hard to see somebody lifting a grenade launcher weighing several hundred pounds.:rofl: :rofl:

it's in the sinodefence news about the crashed AEW plane, it says it's a KJ-200, but most other news agencies have it as a KJ-2000.

It's the KJ-200 not KJ-2000

Actually I am making a point here: It was New York Times who reported that it was a KJ-2000 but I doubted if they knew the difference between KJ-200 and KJ-2000. Most media reports copied the story from NYT and I believe that it was a KJ-200, or at least something based on Y-8.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that the development of the Type 054 was delayed by the lack of a suitable propulsion system. Production of the first-of-class, Ma’anshan (pennant number 525) did not start until late 1002. The ship was launched on 11 September 2003 at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai. This was followed by the second hull Wenzhou (penant number 526) on 30 November 2003 at Huangpu Shipyard in Guangzhou. Both ships were commissioned in 2005 and they are deployed by the PLA Navy East Sea Fleet.
