J-11A is China-assembled Su-27SK with Russia-supplied kits; J-11B is supposed to be completely China-built units with avionics and electronics replaced with China-made parts that's said to be superior than the Russian-made ones.

And if you take the word of Pinkov and Kanwa for it, that makes the Russian very unhappy...

No, J-11 is China-assembled Su-27SK with Russia-supplied kits, J-11A is Chinese spare parts and avionic but Russian engine. J-11B is fully Chinese with heavily composite content, including engine and newly developed avionic AESA radar (much more modern than original SU-27)

Yeah, your answers are inside the aircraft. My question is if you see a picture of the aircraft, how can you tell if it is Su-27 or J-11?
