GSL411 火箭破障车 (Rocket Obstacle-Clearing Vehicle)

GSL411 firing GSL241 rocket-assisted obstacle-clearing munition
Role and Mission for the PLA : The GSL411 Rocket Obstacle-Clearing Vehicle (ROCV) is a purpose-built engineering asset designed by the People’s Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF) to clear extensive coastal and amphibious landing obstacles. First conceptualized in the 1990s and revealed publicly in the 2010s, the GSL411 delivers rapid, long-range mine and barrier neutralization ahead of amphibious or ground assaults. Deployed in tandem on landing craft, the GSL411 offers a critical solution to obstacle breaching across wide beachfronts, replacing manual mine-clearing with standoff, high-volume firepower. It is particularly effective against mines, barbed wire, and fixed defenses such as reinforced “rail forts” (zhài).

Munition: GSL241 Rocket Obstacle-Clearing Projectile
- Caliber: 252mm
- Weight: 135 kg
- Warhead: 66 kg aluminum-enhanced high explosive
- Design: Includes probe-type electromechanical fuze with dual safeties, remote arming, and timed self-destruct
- Guidance: Rifled launch tubes ensure flight stability through low-speed rotation
Fire Control System: The GSL411 features a digital fire control suite, including:
- Fire control computer and operator console
- Remote controller for standoff engagement
- Integrated targeting adjustments for environmental variables: wind, pitch, roll, etc.
This system allows the vehicle to automatically adjust elevation/traverse and fire a salvo with high trajectory precision, ensuring target impact in congested or hardened coastal zones.

An engineering research and design institute under the Guangzhou Military Region developed a 28-tube rocket clearing vehicle, which was installed on landing craft for launch and clearing obstacles from the opposite shore. This proved to be an effective means of clearing enemy mines, naval mines, and other engineering obstacles laid on coastal beaches during landing operations. from-https://k.sina.cn/article_6411681021_17e2a7cfd00100362i.html
