I think it's more likely than not that China will top the medal table again. Things don't always go to plan, but I think they'll be aiming to beat the USA again.

As for Team GB, I don't think we'll beat the Russians. I think we can finish fourth like we did in Beijing, but that's as far as we will get (and again things don't always go to plan).

Lochte impressed by Ye Shiwen at Olympic swimming pool

LONDON, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Ryan Lochte, winner of the men's 400m individual medley on Saturday night, admitted Sunday that China's Ye Shiwen had been a topic of conversation over the dinner table at the Olympic Games.

Ye won gold in the women's 400m individual medley, a race in which she also set a new world record. Not only that, but she swam her leg of the breaststoke faster than Michael Phelps had done in the men's 400 meter final, while her last 50 meters were actually faster than Lochte had swum on his way to gold.

"We were talking about that at dinner," said Lochte about Ye's swim. "It's pretty impressive. She's fast and if she was out there with me, she might be able to beat me too."

Lochte finished second in his heat of the 200 meters freestyle behind China's Sun Yang, but said he was not too worried about his performance.

"I didn't get to bed until 2am last night and I am really tired, but it was a preliminary swim and I am not too worried," he said.

Cracking result for Lizzie Armitstead in the women's road race. Just failed to overhaul the Dutch victor at the end, but a great result nonetheless. A silver medal and our first of the Games. :)

First of all I would like to congratulate the gold medalists on their wins. Difficult competition and hard work indeed.

Second of all I suggest that Chinese authorities should fire their photographers for official documentations. They've already botched Liu Yang's official photograph and now they are botching Yi Siling's.

I think we should congratulate all the medalists. Coming second or third in the world is very hard, sometimes harder than winning other events. I'm sure you haven't forgotten the silver and bronze medal winners, but they should be praised too.

Mr. T, this is the "only" right thing that I have heard from you! Ahha, A Man!
