How many times do I have to tell you that literally NOONE from the chinese side has even mentioned the 1959 line? Who the hell are you deciding what china does and doesn't claim? Show me a single chinese officials that has ever brought out 1959 line during the confict? If china really claim only until 'galwan mouth', how come there is a carving clearly spelled 中国，aka china in a wall right at the river bend?? Holy hell..
Dozens of threads down and you still can't argue like a human being with logic and rational thinking, literally ignoring the hard evidence like video and photo, some even originated from your own side.
You don't even dare to refute the satellite images I posted earlier from your own side, because of course you cannot get out of the realm of merely parroting the typical talking points random indian generals or mediaperson have provided to its gullible masses.
China did withdraw, but there's no such thing as status quo ante. Buffer zone doesn't exist beforehand, nor the amount of facilities built behind finger 8 for china which again another reminder for why you shouldn't provoke china with a race of logistical and infrastructure build up. Which means that instead of china pushing those invader out of china's LAC, it's china who is the aggressor in intruding into india's land, as 'agreed' upon the 1959 line. Take a look at this picture from the recent video, or just check any MOFA statement around the time of crisis from last year, it's clear as day that china's LAC include the river bend area, with the river being the actual LAC line.

I am afraid you cannot capture territory while retreating at the same time.
China was forced to except a buffer zone in territory it occupied and patrolled. That is exactly what india wanted to acheive. As a result, Status quo ante restored with the bonus of India securing its strategic infrastructure in Depsang and Galwan.
