Fox news distorts truth. In other words, you mean TheHindu is about as creditable as Fox News whenever comes to Trump? We need some reference point here...
I think your scenario of ‘credible reports’ and ‘intelligence’ supporting the reports is highly likely... but that would only mean lip service for all intents and purposes... the ‘western free media’ will certainly post article after article but again it would be lip service only... actually doing something is an entirely different matter...It's not hard really, just burn those press and call them fake news (India news media isn't known for its journalism quality to begin with anyway), or "enemy agents against national interest", then release "creditable (fabricated) reports" on military activities in-and-out of that village, and have US (i.e. the CIA) to back it up. With decades of demonizing China on the belt, the mainstream media will lap it up eagerly (i.e. skip fact-checking) and wade in without hesitation, and most certain that the Western world (aka the Free World) will all join in on India's side, if past cases is of any indication.
"China vs the World" is a familiar theme of the last 200 years, so much so that Chinese will go "sh*t, here we go again".
It's certainly a gamble, of course, but not 3D-chess that Joe Biden can't play, besides what better to distract everyone from domestic problems with a "new" flashpoint lit up on Sino-India border, and the hotter the better
Has there ever been a census within the PLA to ascertain the number of soldiers who are the single child?
It was my understanding that OCP has never been fully implemented in all of China.
How exactly does, OneChildPolicy, even if does exist affect the mentality of an average soldier? Why would they be ever in the PLA in the first place when there are other jobs out there - construction, Factories, farming etc.
Its also my belief that soldiers thrust into war, fight on survival instinct and resolve alone. How can the fact that they are the only support for their parents dilute the resolve? Shouldn't it be strengthened?
If at all OCP has been a very influential force, shouldn't it be reflected in the recruitment numbers rather than morale?
What's the effect of OCP, even if it is assumed to be influential, on a modern Mechanized unit that deals with UAVs and other push button gizmos?
Seems to me like the slander that could've had relevance for the China of 1990s to 2010 are being applied even today.
That's just not very bright.
Everything India does is complete BS. I said both your tanks broke down and both your tanks broke down.Cpmplete BS.
Really, what color medal is 5th jointly? LOL India placed 5th at the second tank biathlon in 2015. Then, in the 4th tank biathlon in 2017, both your tanks broke down and you were unable to finish. That was the last biathlon that India participated in. Next time, maybe spend 5 minutes Googling before calling BS.We came 5th (jointly) in the last tank biathlon we participated in.
Better question would be, why high number of indian child left by parents join their army? Explains why their morale is nill & they are weak, limp. Most of india's "army" is made of parent less "illegal" child which is result of over-population who have no job.India basically has to hire them to join the so called army, like other indians sell their kids to others for money. And because of extreme poverty they suffer from severe malnutrition making them even more fragile, growing up in tropical environment, indians cant adjust in harsh environment.Has there ever been a census within the PLA to ascertain the number of soldiers who are the single child?

Isn't China trying to reduce the number of PLA infantry?

I believe the last time India uses their own T90 tanks, both broke down. And that was in 2017. In 2018 onward, India uses Russia supplied tanks. So even if India was to fare well (which they didn't) it has nothing to do with their maintenance and logistic prowess. Sorry to say that.Cpmplete BS. We came 5th (jointly) in the last tank biathlon we participated in.
You're right; I didn't notice that India actually participated one more time in 2018 with Russian tanks before calling it quits. It (the 5th in 2018) wasn't listed for some reason on the wiki page so I overlooked it.I believe the last time India uses their own T90 tanks, both broke down. And that was in 2017.
