What is not being discussed is the Maoist movements in Indian Eastern Sea board and Seven Sisters, these Naxals will be happy to launch their campaign against Indian Eastern and Central Commands in South Tibet aka Arunachal Pradesh

Has anyone read this report? It basically argues why India still has an edge over China (unless China has enough missiles to annihilate India bases during first strike)

Why conventional wisdom giving China the military edge over India may not be true

This is the deep state western media trying to goad the gullible Indians into fighting a war with China.

Enough with the talk about casualties without any more information. I'm honestly not even sure to believe in the landslide theory anymore, because most Indian soldiers died due to hypothermia (17 out of 20), which means those that supposedly fell off the cliff did not die from it, and the Chinese accounts don't even mention a cliff edge collapse. Could it just be that in their haste to flee, some retreating Indian soldiers saw some of their side jump down the steep slope and assumed there was a landslide?

Let's talk about the bigger picture here. China (Xi jinping) has chosen this time to make a stand over the Galwan river valley, for reasons I've listed in previous posts including the threat to India's hold to the Depsang plains. Just today, the Chinese foreign ministry reiterated that China has 'always' had sovereignty over the Galwan river valley, up to the confluence with the Shyok river. PP14 just happens to be the commanding heights over that entire confluence area. If that is cut off, the DBSO road is completely overlooked by Chinese firepower (although, let's face it, even without PP14, China would have no problem cutting off the DBSO road).

Ultimately this is going to be up to India. China always leaves itself options, there are avenues India may take to convince China to truly pull it's brigade sized formation back from the Galwan river valley. For instance, it may agree to demolish the bridge across the Shyok river towards the Galwan river valley that had been completed last year. It may choose other, non infrastructure ways to reach a compromise. But of course, the Indians may decide that they just aren't going to have it, and actually try to up the ante, most likely by trying to ingress into parts of LAC or disputed areas elsewhere (unlikely, since PLA is already on high alert).

The real elephant in the room right now is actually coronavirus, because economies everywhere are shattered, China baring hanging on to positive growth this year. China simply doesn't care about economic ramifications this year, since they have already occurred. Honestly, I'm not sure Pompeio would actually want a real war between the two sides, because it would not only train an experienced cadre of PLA veterans, but also remove for good the idea that somehow China's military is inferior.

Unlike Doklam, the onus for the decision is no longer on Xi Jinping, but Modi, a fellow everyone here knows has a knack for making questionable decisions and surrounded by inept advisors. Let's hope, but not hold our breath, for peace.

They are getting ready. I don't like the situation getting out of control There is no winner in war and more attention should be devoted to improve living standard of their people for both India and China I hope cool head will prevail on both side

Chinese soldiers have conducted a live fire drill at an altitude of 4,700 meters in southwest China. Different units of soldiers were organized into a joint battle group to test their ability to deal with battlefield emergencies on a plateau.

Why not just attack now and get it over with? India will just become more and more belligerent every other year. They have totally dismantled BRICS anyways and will soon be a thorn to all of its neighbors. I can't believe SCO is not even in this issue.

Not exactly no winner.
British BBC is fanning the flames with fake news. Someone aims to be a winner.
Also take note there is no author again. Usual stuff when they blatantly peddle blatant fake news.

The nail-studded rods shown has already been verified as fake.

Lol look at that quality of manufacturing, must be made by the Indian cottage industry. BBC is becoming sadder each day, the author is too embarrassed to put name up on article.

I saw that but didn’t post it as I am calling BS on that picture.

The Indian army were routed and either fled for their lives or were captured and later released.

There is no way they would have been able to collect up all the weapons the PLA soldiers were using, tie them into a neat little bundle and take a picture.
