Did PLA retire any of the JH-7 recently with either PLAAF or PLAN? I see just 200 JH-7 shown in Service in the Wikipedia PLAAF page and no JH-7 in PLAN service. That's lower than Last year's numbers of 120 each with both PLAAF and PLAN

All (or almost all) the PLANAF shore based fighter and bomber units were transferred to PLAAF last year.
Yes, but did they also retire some units of JH-7 as well? Since that is what is shown in the Wikipedia page with source from IISS military balance 2024. It went down from 240 total to 200?
Wikipedia and most Western OSINT sources are not very good when it comes to PLAAF inventory. For instance flight global still thinks that China only has 15 operational J-20s in 2023.
We need to find a picture with 16 J-20s in frame to troll them.

Need to check, but I think the 83rd AB has been converted to J-16 from what I heard.
I didn't keep up with this thread but was the rumor of China replacing all of JH-7A with J-16 turn out to be true? Or did the information change when the new JH-7AA got unveiled?
Any plans to convert them to drones or simply not worth it anymore?
