Why are you taking being "taken to task" so personally? I've seen you go ballistic just because the mods asked you to cite proper sources. That doesn't make them your enemy.

Oh come on...... it's not a rocket science ..... you won't get source for every thing in particular to defense deals ..... it always start with rumors and end up to mature or false .....

And don't try be or act as a Judge here , I have seen you several times that you are jumping on the gun OR trying to be another pseudo intellectual .... keep your verdicts in your pocket....

Not to dampen Pakistanis members' enthusiasm but why would Pakistan need the JH-7 in the first place? It is an old product with limited roles and would stretch Pakistan's military funding for other projects if purchased.

Hello Deino---. You claimed years ago---no 054's for pakistan---pak has no funds---.

Yet the 054 got delivered and 3 more on the way---and the subs are coming as well---even though you claimed no money no delivery---.

China as a de facto ally of Pakistan is certainly committed to helping and protecting Pakistan in whichever way within China's ability. However, I don't know why you are so fixated on the JH-7A. JH-7A is not really that good for its cost. It's not a good choice for Pakistani Air Force. If Pakistan has the extra resources to support an expansion of her air force. I think it would be much more reasonable for Pakistan to work on procuring the upgraded J-35, or the J-16.
China probably will not sell the J-16. But it is not unfathomable for China to lease out a fleet of J-16 to Pakistan as how Russians leases Akula to India. As for J-35, it could certainly be marketed as an upgraded J-31 (with WS-19 engine) export version for Pakistan.

In my opinion, 48 J-35 and 48 J-16 would make a very potent addition to the existing fleet of Pakistani JF-17s and F-16s etc.

I predict all this talk of PAF JH7s will suddenly disappear and be replaced with talk of PAF JHXXs as soon as first flight pictures of JHXX appear.

But in all seriousness, the JH7 would be an absolute disaster for the PAF. It is a big plane that is expensive to maintain and operate; it has limited (at best!) AA capabilities, so would need escorts in any contested airspace; but worst of all, it is old, out of production, and PLA units that operate them fly the crap out of it because when I am in parts of China were these are stationed, they are in the air all the time! There can’t be many airframe hours or spare Spey engines left for them, and I am expecting the PLA to start retiring them soon in favour of J16s.

The PAF could have retired JH7 for free and it would still be a bad choice to get them.

Oh come on, now I really have to step in: You are the one who's constantly posting any random - and IMO most often - stupid rumour from any random page be that FB or other fan-sites most often without giving the source. You have been repeatedly asked to stop this behavior and to do more research; your spread rumours including the one that Bangladesh will get J-10C or whatever ... so now being once correct in retrospect and claiming others here are pseudo intellectual is pathetic!

And now back to the topic, which is the JH-7A.
