It doesn't matter. They can just claim the engines had already been delivered.
Then switch new purchases to the J-10.
Once the new engines for the J-XY become available those can be used on the JF-17.
They also have several spare engines already.

If Russian exports restrictions are going to create most problems for anyone, it would be India. Putin's also made a good job of further eroding brand image of their hardware in Ukraine, this is after we got hints of that in Armenia and Swift Retort.

I don’t think a pre-sanction order would be influenced , by the time Pakistan ran out of the RD-93, WS-13E/19 would be ready( there’s a big chance that WS-13&19 are interchangeable)

Just means that Pakistan will be forced to use WS-13. We know for a fact that the engine will see use on FC-31/J-35, so it is not vaporware. Also they are happy enough with WS-10 to use it on J-10CP so they have trust in Chinese turbofan.

No more RD93 => no more JF 17!!!

why do you indicate no RD-33?
1) Does Pakistan now buy it directly from Russia?
2) Or did Russia sell it to China which then delivers it to Pakistan?

if this were hypothesis 2, the problems do not exist even in the midst of Western sanctions

I think the concern is with the export market, like deals with Nigeria and Argentina. Those to countries, unlike Myanmar, are not under sanctions and care a lot about CAASTA.

but the Russians would not sell the engine directly to Argentina or Nigeria, but to China they buy very numerous lots and, I suppose, already with the permission to re-export to foreign customers of the JF-17, therefore there should be no problems, except cue then the US does not want to widen the diatribes with China in a trade war.

can someone post the size comparison between the JF17 Block III and J10CP?

I believe there is a photo somewhere showing both on the taxi way

I don't think there is one comparing Block III and J-10CP but there is definitely one comparing J-10C and Block II. Since there is no dimensional change, I think it'll be a fair reference.

P.S. Found a frontal comparison from Shaheen VIII.
