Yeah, even prospective, I wouldn't give too much hope on them because they might turn out to be talk more than do. Especially Iraq, I don't see why they would buy Chinese weapon at all.
A country that doesn't really control its own airspace has quite an interest in getting fighters not just from the main offender.

Well, we don't know if it qualifies as a 'lie' either. Maybe he was just early in announcing it. The deal might still be happening.

From the PAF's perspective, it would be great if Iraq buys both the Rafale and the JF-17s, for... various reasons... ;-)
They cant even maintain their fleet of F16s

Quiet the contrary, they are infamous in maintenance, what do you expect from a country which failed to keep their drones usable? Not only CH-4, but also scaneagles? No ,thank you

Pakistan will be involved in helping Iraq maintain them - the relationship between the Iraqi Airforce and Pakistan is deep and long and Iraq is re-establishing them as it moves to remove the shackles of the Americans from their country slowly.

It's a country just coming out of 2 American invasions followed by a civil war.

So maybe give them a little time before talking smack.

Pakistan will obviously help with maintenance support if they proceed with the order.
