Hi,

The shoot down would be very simple to prove---.

JF17 has been pitched to many a future buyers--.

And all of them would want to see the confirmation about the mig21 and SU30 being shot---.

If they are still interested in the product---that means there is truth to the claim---.

Alan Warnes does not need a introduction

He’s been visiting Pakistani Air bases for decades

He confirmed no F16 was involved

Public never has full information

... and you think Alan Warnes has "full information"? Because he got the "official story" of a classified event?

Even the ISPR stopped denying Vipers were involved after the first few weeks when things calmed down and the US accepted it was within our contract agreement.

Yes but also he said he is not going to disclose the facts on social media

...

Well, so I can actually claim everything, say I know it but I won't disclose the facts or reveal my sources!

Isn't this a bit lame?

Meteors are deadly because they have a large NEZ. You can't outrun it.

The "Meteor BVRAAM" has a Solid-Fuel Ram-Jet propulsion system which enables this air-to-air weapon to have greater range. It is losely described as an air-to-air cruise missile, due it's long range and/or endurance.

I have my belief and you have yours, I will not change my mind and I am not going to convince you to change yours

We are both senior enough to know that

If Alan Warnes who has a reputable standing in the aviation industry for over 3 decades says something I believe him

Pakistani side has had one line to the story from day one, the Indian version has 10 and is full of BS

PAF has a tradition, history, track record and professionalism, from neutral stand point if you can’t take them as reputable source then that’s up to you

Like I said you won’t convince me otherwise and you can believe what you think is true I am fine with that

Yea, I have toured PAF bases and I did get a confirmation (from within the PAF) around 6 hours after the engagement, confirming we used Vipers. But that's not the point, because we have verifiable facts in this case. The Indians released pictures of a recovered AMRAAM, with a serial number delivered to Pakistan, proving Viper involvement:

Here's that DoD contract with that serial number:

As for Alan Warnes, he's not the only defense source with credibility. A much more credible source on the PAF is former Wing Commander Kaiser Tufail, who has commented in the

regarding this issue. The context of the article is denying Indian claims that the AMRAAM proves the IAF shot down a Viper. Notice that Tufail never denies we used Vipers, but in fact says that the AMRAAM wreckage only proves that Vipers were doing the shooting. Even an IAF source admits the recovered AMRAAM struck its target.

Like I said, even the ISPR isn't denying we used Vipers anymore. The last statement they made said we have the right to use anything we want (i.e. Vipers) to defend our air space. This statement came after the US had told India that Pakistan was not in violation of our defense contract. All of this indicates the initial denial of using Vipers was political, and it is a moot point anyway since the AMRAAM recovery.
