JF-17/FC-1 Fighter Aircraft thread

I understand the latest F-16 request is being blocked by the US Congress. The part I don't get is if the JF-17 is such a capable aircraft, why is Pakistan still going after the F-16 especially if they are within the same product segment? It doesn't project confidence in your own indigenous product.
That's the same question I asked. If JF-17 fulfills PAF requirements as well as Pakistani officials, pundits, and media claim it does, why would PAF go after F-16s? When I was in high school, sporty conversion kits for Volkswagen Beetle were still popular. They reduced the Beetles' weight a bit and new dashboards instruments made them looked swift and sleek, but at heart, they were still VW Beetles with 1200cc air-cooled engines that turned out 35 horsepowers. Maybe it's the same way with JF-17s?

Wow, hats off to your courage as you brought the same issue that has been discussed to death and even overlooked moderator's warning. Its as simple as this, they belong to different categories and PAF had an initial requirement and placed infrastructure for 111 f-16s. They r still looking to bring their inventory to that mark. However, this time around, if the falcons get blocked, we have a decent alternative in jf-17. I can tell you how curious they r to lay their hands on it as they used to do with soviet adversary fighters, only this time, there is no defecting pilot.

First post here, so forgive any mistakes...

Despite this story, it appears the JF-17's have cancelled their appearance at Bahrain. Just as they did at the last Dubai Airshow, is/was there any reason given for this?

Has PAK AF ever conduct a Free Style Dog Fighting Friendly, Transparent, and Public Competition ( 1 on 1 , and 2 on 2 ) with Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States Air Forces, and other nations that use F-16, F-18 or any other French, or Sweden Fighter ??

If not, why not ??

PAK AF use JF-17.
Turkey, Saudi Arabia Air Forces use F-16.

By Free Style Dog Fighting Competition, I mean ... ...

1) Lower the ( Minimum Allowable Speed to = 200 km/hr ),
2) Lower the ( Minimum Allowable Altitude to = 30 meter ),
3) Lower the ( Minimum Entanglement Distance between aircrafts to = 10 meter ),
4) Gun usage only ( registered electronically ), no Missile usage ( to prevent the other side from claiming and using the excuse that their missiles are inferior to PAK / PRC missiles ),
5) Arrange the Free Style Dog Fighting Friendly Competition in the Densely Cloudy Sky Environment.

I think, the outcome of these Free Style Dog Fighting Friendly, Transparent, and Public Competition with Turkey and Saudi Arabia Air Forces pilots will go along way towards validating JF-17 true Combat performances.

Even better if Indian AF is willing to participate in the Free Style Dog Fighting Competition with their shiny LCA using the best avionics from the like of Israel.

It is time to WALK the TALK.
There are too many malicious and Divide--n--Conquer spins from the like of unreliable news outlets such as Reuters, Indian Express, Daily Mail, Guardian Idiotic Express, WSJ, CNN, and so on ... ...

===

NOTE:
For those readers who are PAF pilots, ... ...
Please feel free to adjust the competition parameters to even lower figures, such as the Minimum Speed, Minimum Altitude, and Minimum Entanglement Distance to the physical limits of the JF-17.

Therefore, the other side participating aircrafts can not hide their physical inferiority behind those unreliable news outlets such as Reuters, Indian Express, Daily Mail, Guardian, WSJ, CNN, NYT, and so on ... ...

Sorry Off Topic, ... ...
For those who still does not know, and keep asking this question in many forums ... ...

China AVIC has a Self Imposed Absolutely Strict Rule of NEVER, NEVER, NEVER export and sell any aircraft that use Sukhoi Su-27 derivative basic airframe, such as J-11A, J-11B, J-11D, J-15, J-16. period.
It does not matter if all the internal Airframe Structures and Avionics Components are 100% China AVIC design using Additive Manufacturing, and China home grown avionics components. --- This AVIC Self Imposed Absolutely Strict Rule is totally PRUDENT for China reputation as a Win--Win--Win nation, not as a Narrow Minded Zero--Sum--Destructive--Hegemonic nation.

Back to JF-17 topic.
