JF-17/FC-1 Fighter Aircraft thread

Well, Pakistani F-16 are dropping bombs on TTP whole summer, so I would say it is Pakistan's war . On certain popular Pakistani forum they even have whole section named "Pakistan's War Against TTP" :p

Reason that I asked question about LGB is not political but purely technical . PAF claims they have integrated various weapons on JF-17 . It would be a trifle to integrate various LGBs (both American and Chinese) using MIL-STD-1760 and to actually make combat debut of Thunder instead of talking the talk .

Btw, November is coming and we yet have to see first Block II aircraft .

LGBs are nothing new to PAF. F-16s are doing the pounding just fine, the rest is taken care of with the Cobras and UCAVs. There is no urgent need to expedite JF-17's weapons integration. We already have capabilities we need to provide fire support to our incursion units on the ground or to carry out time sensitive strikes. JF-17 doesn't offer us anything more than we already have in terms of technological capabilities. Our Block-52s and now MLUs can handle pretty much anything we want them to.

Operational cost / hour of F-16 likely is much higher than JF-17s, that should be good reason for it to be used in strike role, plus they are much cheaper to precure. Plus it will give he JF-17 a good publicity, and I don't mean it as just for sales.

Then whose War is it and who is fighting it whose interest, would you care to elaborate.

As a fellow informed Pakistani who is aware of the situation we know who we are fighting and what we are fighting and for people like Thunderchief who has no idea what he is talking about I do not take any instructions or any advice he is a well known white supremacist and has sent me private messages saying so, in his last message to me he wrote Muslims= violence

I know what I am saying and for a good reason

PAF's budget is very limited therefore our Counterinsurgency Command relies heavily on actionable Human Intel. Pakistani ISI has penetrated every single terrorist organization that poses an asymmetric threat for which only way to deal with is lethal force application. Our Counterinsurgency Command has a large network of Human Intel spread all over the region from the tribal belt to foreign countries. Once a High Value Target is identified and marked off for elimination, the PAF pulls the trigger. JF-17s may have been used for strikes against the Taliban since they are deployed in Peshawar, however our F-16s still remain the most powerful tool to carry out these strikes. The Sniper and Goodrich pods help our Combat Commanders greatly in overlapping ELINT, HI, SIGINT etc to extract Actionable Intel upon which to drop GBUs or JDAMs. Most targets are lased by Special Forces infiltration units to maximise surprise and minimize collateral damage.

Speaking of F-16s.

Two JF-17 Thunder parked with three F-16s in Turkey.

What's the date of this video? I see smoke right before afterburner is turned on. The smoke issue is not completely solved.

Serial No is 09-112 , therefore this is one of the first aircraft produced, with older engines . Video could be from 2010 or 2011, I'm not sure .
