Mass production means a large number has produced.

For example, at least above 100 pieces.

Well... maybe you should learn abit about business before coming in and post your own opinion. WS-10A had been certified for mass production, which MEAN it is ready for mass production. The only reason you don't see that huge amount of them is because there is no order yet.

Why the hell do you want to build 100 engines when there is no body to fit to? As spare?

I thought J-11B and J-15 all use WS-10A as russia won't allow them to use its engines.

So few weeks ago we heard of WS-13 reaching taxi run stage on JF-17 and now Russia says this about RD-93 ? A 'preemptive strike' to save face ?
You didn't dump me, I dump you first ! :D

Could be.
But if WS-13 won't be ready in 5 yrs or has whatsoever issues in ramping up, the russians would have good laugh.

Its putting pressure on China to step up to the game.

Wait 5 more yrs to have a good laugh ? :D
Russia have been bringing up issues with RD-93 for years and where is JF-17 now ?
I don't know how much you know about business but if Russia really thinks it can stop JF-17, it would have been done much earlier in the project, not now.
And nobody gives up millions in business in hope of getting a 'good laugh' 5 yrs later. You do business for business, not for laughs.
The only reason anyone would give up millions is because they don't think they have a good chance at it anyway.

Then you are slapping yourself right at your own face.

Why?

First you say China is incapable of mass producing modern engine, then when pointed out that is a flawed logic, you argued that mass production means producing of large number of engine (says... 100units). Which I again find the logic flawed and is kind enough to give you some links.

Now you are nitpicking into my thread, saying that J-11B and J-15 all uses WS-10A. Which is proof of what I have said is correct. The ENGINE ARE ALREADY CERTIFIED FOR MASS PRODUCTION! And it had been in mass production! Maybe not by the hundreds... And there is a simple reason behind it... there is not that much of airframe to fit in!

SO could you please stop portraying China in the worst possible shape?

Certified doesn't mean its already produced.

not much airframe to fit in? How do you know? I have seen a pic that empty airframes of J11B sitting outside.

China hasn't mass produced anything (WS10, WS13, WS18) yet other than the WS9. There is no need for logic deduction or twisting. the fact is in front of you.

I only count whats already produced.

Well, you have to keep in mind that news seep out of China pretty slowly. I mean, until we see pictures of a whole regiment of J-11B's equipped with WS-10As, we won't have PROOF that it is undergoing mass production. Those types of pictures probably won't come out any time soon given past history. Now, you are free to remain skeptical until then, but judging by the way the Chinese media have publicized and "leaked" out info recently, such as the short documentary on the WS-10 and the photos of J-11B's equipped with it, it is likely that the engine has finally cleared all hurdles and is undergoing mass production.

Correct deduction.. CCTV recently show a documentary of WS-10A achievement. More or less it show all problem of WS-10A including mass production has completed. PLA don't showcast things that don't work and not able to mass produced.

And pray, tell us... how many are being produced?

Plus when something was certified to be mass produced means that it is ready, all technical problems (or at least most technical problems) are solved and thus could be mass produced. And it is you who say that all the J-11B and J-15 are fitted with them, now you are again turning around saying otherwise.

Seriously I think no one should pay any attention to this person. He has been flipflopping, just to potrait China into a bad shape.

Anyway, I think I have gone too far off topic and should move back to the thread.
