I was only translating the report to Jura as he asked. I was not accusing you anything.

Yes, that amount of money is not enough, but as the report is an annual report meaning the 90 million USD is only a year's budget, nothing strange with it.
The Japanese budget request paper requires to disclose the overall budget with scope of how long R&D will take to develop the final product.
Since they have no information concerning the above the plan is a single year project and the 9 billion yen is the total amount for development.

Here's that JMSDF Task Force I talked about I placed my new 1/350 scale Akizuki class DDG with (the first pic)::

Very squared away. The JMSDF is a very professional and very capable Navy. Every professional US sailor I have talked to who had dealt with them all say the same.

Very nice and this programm :p but mainly glad to see you build my Friend, good !:)

A Navy of 2/3nd Rank weakness no CV,SSNs the 4th very close of Russian which have a CV, big powerful SSNs/SSGns but surely Japanese is in better condition and operationnal in more have more MSC about 40 vs 28 with a very potent ASW aicraft fleet and the P-1 is an excellent the best MPA.

I believe that the JMSDF would be a hard nut to crack for any naby ouside of the US NAvy to crack.

This will lessen as the Chinese build more and more carriers and outfit them with full air wings...unless of course the Japanese build a version of the Izumo or some other similar vessel that can carry 12-18 F-35Bs and then starts deploying them.

Japan's navy is solidly among the 2nd tier navies of the world which China's navy joined very recently, the USN is in a league of its own.

I believe China's carrier program, particularly the Varyag variations 001 and 001A, are precisely meant to match any initial Japanese sea-based airpower capability. The assets for real expeditionary operations along the OBOR and deep into the Pacific are yet to come.

Yes Sir :) effectively surpassed by China in 2010 about, for CV a matter of politic from WW II ... Japan have Self Defense Military Branchs, Army etc... and a CV is considered as an offensive weapon so impossible Japan get it now but in long term things can going.
