General
This should be the patent document on the retractable ladder for the J-35A (and J-35 as well). Posted by @身后已无Grumman on Weibo.

This is a Chengdu patent that was shared previously. SAC has its own patent on a boarding ladder design, which differs (see images below).

CCTV mentioned a difference between the J-35 and J-35A in its post-parade report: the J-35 features a conventional center stick, while the J-35A adopts a side-stick configuration.

The J-35 must accommodate pilots already accustomed to operating the J-15/J-15T, hence the use of a center stick.
In contrast, the J-35A is primarily being introduced to units already equipped with the J-20, eliminating adaptation challenges.

, the designer attributed the choice of central stick in J-35 NOT because of pilot accustomed to older jet, but rather the advantage of central stick for carrier landing. He did not relate to J-15 or J-20 in his speech.

Here is a paper from PLAAF avaition medicine institute.

The paper basically says that side stick still struggles to match the advantage of central stick in terms of feedback from control surfaces. This feedback is critical in carrier landing because there is no room for mistakes. I know F-35C uses side stick but that is not due to side sticks natural advantage but rather a compromise of F-35's 3-in-1 nature. It is like touch screen is fancy but can never give the feeling of physical buttons, it works for mobile phone but it is dangerous in operating a car while one can not move eyesight away from the road. This once again tells that F-35 program is something of "样样皆通,样样稀松“, "can in everything, but so-so in everything", while PLA's philosophy is never compromise (relatively speaking).
