Andreas Rupprecht, a military aviation expert and the author of seven books on Chinese war planes, tells TRT World that there is still time before Chinese J-35s become fully integrated into Pakistan’s air force. Islamabad has received an offer for the stealth aircraft, which does not mean a contract has been signed, he cautions.

However, once the aircraft are delivered and their integration takes place with full operational capability, the fifth-generation fighter will tip the balance of aerial power in Pakistan’s favour, he says.

PAF pilots have been in China for a long time now, training for the J-35…

Deino probably missed an urdu interview of a politician who claimed that quite some time ago.

Secondly, Why would an “offer” specify any numbers? Why would an offer be limited to numbers? An offer would be in general terms “J-35 was offered”, Not “40 J35 were offered”.

Since the sentence is talking about multiple systems all at once, The term offer could’ve been wrongly used or could have been meant for a specific system that might’ve been recently offered and the term won’t necessarily apply to all the 3 systems.

I did not miss it, I simple do not rate it realistic and credible but just a typical PR talk! No Chinese site so far confirmed or even mentioned this.

Sorry, that surely might be the case

At least a machine-translation of the original text clearly says "offer" ... as such I do not know what to dispute?
As such you should not tell me that I maybe misunderstood an official post, but you should try to find either a better / correct source and explain us, why the original one clearly noted an "offer"?

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif {@CMShehbaz}, Pakistan has achieved several significant diplomatic successes, including an offer from China for 40 fifth-generation J-35 stealth aircraft, KJ-500 AWACS, HQ-19 defense system, and a deferment of a $3.7 billion loan repayment. With Huawei’s cooperation, 100,000 Pakistanis will be trained in AI and IT.

Azerbaijan has signed a $2 billion investment for the purchase of 40 Pakistani JF-17 aircraft and a $4.6 billion defense agreement, while Pakistan-Iran trade is expected to increase from $3 billion to $10 billion.

They showed the J-35 in Zhuhai, just because they knew they were going to show the J-36 and J-50 very soon, so they had to show the J-35 first. As the J-35 is now in production, how many J-35s do they have now, if Chinese and Pakistani pilots have be training on them for a while already?
