If this is the final wing they've chosen then it looks like they've picked the F-22 style arrangement where the horizontal slabs "cut" into the rear of the main wings.

Name J-31 is confirmed. "歼-31"

It is possible J-31 be a land version of fighter, but at very least we know for certain that a J-31 exists.

So, it looks like J-31 is land-based while the naval version will be designated as something else. Could it be J-35? Just like J-11 vs J-15...
