J-35 is still an expensive aircraft, even if it is cheaper than F-35. Export will be limited by this. Probably only Gulf countries can afford it.
F-35 isn't terribly expensive though.

Given that arms package for J-35 should be more or less within same realm as for other Chinese fighters - procurement can be quite affordable.

The big concern with lo aircraft, as usual, is sustaining them.

Are we expecting J-35's to be operating on Shandong and Liaoning? IMO probably filling up Fujian first but hopefully we will see mixed air wings on the two legacy STOBAR carriers.
