J-35 carrier fighter (PLAN) thread

The entire idea of carrier naval supremacy is stupid, though. If you look at modern SM-6s, these can hit naval targets up to 500 km away, and cripple them as well due to their hiypersonic speeds. Moreover, the SM-6 can intercept AShBMs as well as threaten aircraft up to 400 km distant. Unless you're planning to load a DF-26 on a J-21, there's little point to set up J-21s. For that matter, DF-21s weigh 15 tons, so they'll easily exceed the load limit of J-21s.

I think he simply has to find something negative ... as usual.

Pardon ... anything wrong or why do you always have to point to anything that can be interpret as a weak, stupid or mad point??

Care to explain why then the USN is still the master of "carrier naval supremacy"? Or are they also stupid... or do other countries not have similar systems like one you mention?

Honestly I don't get it?

Some observers are claiming this might be a photo of a FC-31 mockup on the land-based carrier training facility. Still looks like a J-15 + tarp to me, though.

J-21 is another name for the FC-31.

As for CSGs, they are legacy systems and naval artillery. THey are a way to dump bombs onto shore.

Think about it this way. An Arleigh Burke fully loaded is about 2 to 3 trillion, and can pack 100 or so SM-6. A fully loaded Ford class costs around 20 billion. ON a cost effectiveness basis, 10 Arleigh Burkes are more effective in a naval warfare scenario than a Ford carrier.

I am not convinced it is a J15. Looks more like a FC-31.

Hello again !!! It is an old image before the facility was modified and the ski-ramp deleted ... we never saw a FC-31 during that time and so it cannot be one now.

J31 is definitely NOT called a j21. Stop making up crap. 2-3 trillion for a ship, wow, the Americans are so rich they can have 160 trillion worth of shipping, more than the global GDP.
