It's basically a J-10 + YF-23 Blackwidow.
Bistatic radars, HQ-9, AWACS and J-10s are good enough for F-22 and B-2. China's 5th generation fighter must be designed to dominate on the future battlefield and that includes knocking out dense enemy air defenses.
Okay, before I wasn't so sure this is real. After adding on that one section the proportions of the aircraft now look right.

Who care if its engine is underpowered and not able to supercruise.
It's frontal stealth and radar are more important. And its frontal stealth from the pic looks impressive, far superior than the T50.
It should on par with F-22 if not better.
Image this scenario, F-22 and B2 are invading and their faint sigs got picked by bistatic anti-stealth radar.
J-20 sent up to intercept.
Already J-20 already has advantage due to assistance from ground radar. it already know the rough position of the F-22.
All it needs to do is sneak close enough to F-22 to fire the missile, while the F-22 has no ideas what coming.
Plus the SAM could firing at the F-22 to make it dodge and manuver , therefore exposing its position further.

I think we are missing the bigger picture by directly comparing J-20 with the F-22. Even if the plane doesn't match up with the best of U.S. fighters it still is an indication that China's aviation industry is able to, on its own, close the generation gap with the rest of the world. The experience, not the plane it self, is more important.

I think it's best to take all sources into consideration. Witnesses say that it has canards, so I tend to think that it does but we just can't see them clearly.

Well, this picture is around from sometimes if I recall correctly, circa 2007, this one is really matching the real prototype.
some one already has posted the CG pic before the test, I think he has known some PLA information.
