I find something interesting; the landing gear's doors of the J-20 are similar to those the the J-8II but the later are much smaller.

Landing gears for land-based airplanes, especially those smaller airframes of fighter jets, don't need to be fancy. They are too light and runway lengths are more than sufficient to need a big and complexed landing gear like those on the new J-15.

Well its fairly obvious that the J-20 has a fairly robust landing gear, for rough airstrips etc, the Raptor was also designed to get off the ground on battle damaged or unemproved runways, and I'm fairly certain the T-50 does as well since that was also a design criteria of the ATF. I wasn't criticizing the design, just wondering if I was missing something, it may limit your airspeed until you get the aircraft cleaned up, so as not to damage or overstress the gear dears and associated hardware.

Soomeone is doing their job. They blotted out a view of the side weapons bay. It's just like that one hi-res flank shot before. You wouldn't notice it unless you zoomed into the cockpit and the panels were blurred out.

Somethings I noticed in this picture;

- The weapons bay doors do not have 'Saw-Tooth Edge outline'. Would these doors be modified at a later stage or is Chengdu planning to keep it the way it is at the moment?

- The main-landing gear's large door, previously seen in pictures of Prototype-2002 as being closed whilst on the ground and open only when taking off. Are seen here in the picture, open whilst being towed. Does this mean that both 2001 and 2002 have the same ability to close and open the landing gear door, when it wishes to?
