Look at the nozzles of this engine, and compare it to the J-20's silver engine petals unfolded out like this -- they're identical. Unless this is a PS, I'm thinking this is the J-20's current engine (or at least engine nozzle at any rate) which we are looking at.

I guess this is an engine we don't know about then? A WS-10X?

Also, has anyone found it a little odd that we haven't heard news of the WS-15 in a very long time? (Except for that very long report which I think sounded kinda bogus)

Agrre, but they are not 100% exact ... also the yellow J-10 was on the move ! :)

I just tried to put all three "photos" together for comparison ... IMO the last is most likely faked by a simple combination of both, but I still have some strange feeling (maybe it's hunger ).

But the first two photos aren't PSed? So... there are two J-20s then? What's the verdict?

I'm not quite sure. We don't seem to have been hearing anything very much lately, most of it has just been photos.

I'm sure they built at least 2 prototypes, I don't think whether there's a photo of it is terribly intriguing. The supposed picture of the J-20's engine, however, is pretty interesting. If it's a real picture, then it doesn't look like either the WS-10 nor the AL-31. The WS-10 has 8 vanes, the AL-31 has 11 vanes, and this picture has 10 vanes, to start.

Its The Good Time Making Some Money Of J-20! By The Way, Did They Pay For The Rights?

nothing to pay for. CAC, or at least the PLAAF, will not go after them for copyrights...yet. that'd be equivalent to officially admitting of J-20's existence...although they've almost done so, with missing that one final step/word.

Maybe one uses the WS-10X and one use the WS-15? I'm completely excluding the AL-31F as a possibility as things are seemingly clearer that CAC are less likely to having to rely on Russian engines for testing already. Maybe the AL-31F will even be too different to be applied on the J-20, while WS-10X(if it is) and WS-15 are also competing ?

The first one we saw had the Al-31s. My guess is it's new engine and an old engine.

Deino you are famous congrats!

Ohhh ... why do these guys only get aware of me , and why now ??? I think there are much more "brave" guys around, who are actually much more reliable, trustworthy and actually do a much better job in searching, finding, posting and esp. judging the authenticity of these things than me.

So what is the final conclusion on the number of J-20s there are in the picture? I think we can be certain that at least one of them is psed.
