Hehe... Blitizo, I did translate some key points thereof. And another guy (sorry for not remembering his ID off hand) also did a translation of the gist of it. But it seems the article lacks credibility to readers here, judging by the unwillingness to refer to it for clues.

P.S. Sorry it is Bltizo, not Blitizo! ...How do you pronounce it and what does it mean?

You're not the only one making this mistake, if this helps you feel better..

Heh no problem -- actually it's not supposed to be "Bltizo," but rather "Blitzo" as in "Blitz-o". I made a typo when I made my SDF account back in 2008 and I couldn't access it for months cause I kept entering my username as "Blit" rather than "Blti" -facepalm-
As for the meaning -- when I discovered runescape before my age was in double digits that was my username and I've kept using it since. Good times.

Unfortunately we can't seem to change usernames here on SDF

Hello Comrades.
Is it possible that the PLA develops an naval-version of the j-20 for its carrier like the americans with the f-35 & russians with the PAK FA? or are any other stealth-plane?
Besides, is it possible for an "normal" j-20 or other plane to land on an carrier?
sorry for this noob question, but i am one.

Adapting land based aircraft for use on aircraft carriers is seldom successful. The Flanker adaptations look competent but would probably not have happened if Russia and China had experience in building carrier aircraft. The reverse, adapting a naval aircraft to land based service, is also rarely done. A notable exception is the F-4 Phantom II.
Designing an aircraft for both uses from the outset has the worst track record. If the aircraft is successful than only in one role, as for example the F-111. The F-35 promises to be in that tradition.

J-20 is a very advanced aircraft designed for use from land bases. Adapting it for use from an aircraft carrier by a design team that has no experience with carrier aircraft must be a waste of time. The proper way is to start designing an entirely new aircraft for this role. Preliminary designs for such aircraft are no doubt already being made but the decision to develop one or two of them will only be taken after a few years experience with operating J-15 at sea. People who know about these things assure us that the nose wheel gear cannot withstand the forces put on it by using a cat in the ski ramp. This suggests that such aircraft would need to use a tail wheel undercarriage. A suitable tail wheel undercarriage with an extending tail wheel strut was patented in the UK and presented in Aeronautical Journal about forty years ago.

Funny I never noticed that. When I first saw your name I pronounced it in my mind exactly as you described and I had always assumed it was Blitzo.

Welcome to the forum comrades. Well the J-20 would be too big to take off from the current Chinese Air craft carrier, not to mention the lack of any catapult system to send that heavy body frame enough speed to get air lift. I'm sure China is working on several models of jsf type for its armed forces as of now.

Hey guys ... what's wrong !

How long haven't we seen a new photo:(, since when did we receive the last report about a flight  ... no news, no exciting manouvers and other details.

The same in regard to the J-11 and other news.

Are they all in vacation :D or is the PLAAF and Chinese Aviation Industry preparing the next round of unveilings for a real "hot aultumn" :p :p ?? ... at least I hope so for the Y-20, the J-1x from SAC and again many surprises from CAC.

Cheers, Deino

Enough PR carried out... Those PR are expensive and cause fatigue to the precious stealth J-20 airframe.
