Looks like they're back to testing. Someone reported heavy security around and patrols were keeping people away and there was some mention of some door was seen opening on the J-20.

What's that thing in the red circle? :O

In any case, I think if these pictures are real/recent then it shows there is definitely more than one J-20 prototype out. The J-20 which flew didn't have those exposed yellow patches on the nose, while this one does -- so either there's one 2001 (J-20 first equipped with Al-31 and then the silvery petalled "WS-1X" engine which flew) and one 2002 which we're seeing now -- or there's two 2001s, and we saw both during the first few days leading up to the flight, but never both together. The Al-31 equipped J-20 had the yellow patches on the nose exposed so that's probably what we're seeing now again.

That's incredible if it's ture. For conventional layout aircraft with relaxed stability as F-22 usaully, the lift center still lies behind the center of gravity. And at supersonic cruise, lift center moves backward which makes pitch down tendency stronger.

The F-16, Su-27 and F-22 are unstable longitudinally, this means the center of lift is ahead of the center of gravity.
By using canards most modern fighters are near neutral position, so in few words they are more stable than unstable.
Are the Eurofighter or Gripen unstable? definitively yes, but are near neutral while the Su-27 or F-16 having aft tails can be given higher levels of unstability.
An unstable aircraft with canards kills lift in order to trim, however it has a relatively quick pitch up force making for excellent instantaneous turn rates, the IAI Lavi improved and bettered the F-16`s instantaneous turn rate.

I tend to think these are old photos. Or at least nothing terribly interesting. They are foggy just like the old ones, and the grass is still half dead.

If you look at this enhanced version, you can see that this prototype has that unpainted section on the starboard side, just like the original 2001 we saw.

If they aren't new photos then CDF have got their stuff wrong... But if it is new photos it's still exciting, considering how few times we've seen this beast outside before.

I "cleaned up" the picture. Good luck on the analysis.

optical illusion! maybe some shadows or some other objects behind/front of the aircraft which distorts the overall shape. Always very difficult to analyse something from so far away and looking straight on because we don;t have depth.

It looks like a smudge. I think the person who took that photo probably can make out what it was (assuming he is not deliberately misleading us!) but alas the camera is too crap.

It could be just a J-10, considering that all the hangars next to it seems to host J-10s
