EADS has 45.76% ownership of Dassault.

EDIT: Oops. Reversed the ownership.

Which is not a majority. Actually, Dassault has made sure that its operations are totally divorced from EADS. The relationship between EADS and combat aircraft development is opaque. As France is not part of the Typhoon project while Britain is, EADS's role in relation to this programme is also totally unclear (at least to me).

But I fear that this is all off-topic.

As this terrible salvo seems to be directed at me, I shall risk provoking bd popeye’s wrath by staying off topic. I do not think that I am particularly ill-informed about the European aerospace industry and stick to my view of Dassault vs. EADS.

A quite recent example shows how Dassault operates quite independently of EADS: On 14 March, Dassault and Bae announced their intention jointly to develop an UAV based on BAe’s Mantis and Dassault’s nEUROn. This project is in direct competion with EADS’s Talarion for the European MALE requirement. So obviously Dassault’s policy is not coordinated with that of EADS.

Not directing at you pal. Don't worry.

There are rumors floating on CD that the J-20 is about to fly again soon. Just how soon, we are not sure. However don't be surprised when new pictures come out.

Sorry BD.

The point was that Dassault falls under the umbrella of EADS, even if it attempts to operate independently, much like how SAC and CAC fall under the umbrella of AVIC but always have rival designs.

To make this post more on topic, I'll bring up something else that's been on my mind. I wonder if the J-20 will go through design revisions like the F-22 did when it transitioned from the YF-22?

Not out of the question, but I don't think the changes will be as "formal" nor as drastic as the change from YF-22 to F-22, personally just because past PLAAF anc CAC projects have had few changes from the first prototype to the final product (though JF-17 is an exception, with the whole DSI change).
Also it's because the J-20 is most likely meant to be a prototype of the aircraft and not a demonstrator from which to develop an operational aircraft -- they've had a while to work on it and were already given the PLAAF's requirements, so unless the PLAAF change their specs then the changes would be minimal.

There might be EO sensors in the diamond shaped panels, and also an IRST on the nose somewhere, and they might delete the ventral fins. There's also the engine issue and I personally hope they change the LERX to be more stealthy. But apart from all that there's not much I can say which will be changed.

Ooooh.... I totally want to see it with its landing gear retracted... the J-20 really is one of the best looking planes out there imo, as good as the F-22 and YF-23 and will look even better in real flight.

I want to see the landing bay close as well, then we can gauge how fine the workmanship is around openings.

If you can hardly see the lines when it is close then it does not rule out that a weapon bay may already be present

Well said -- one of the reasons I think we can't see the weapon bay is exactly due to that reason -- the flushness of the openings and also the colour and shade which they painted the aircraft.
