Kind of interesting that people are saying it is serial 2052 that flew with two WS-15s rather than serial 2051.
This is an old well-known CG-manipulated image of the prototype 2012 (I think) with the twin-launch rail adapters on the pylons.

that is what the “p” stands for, AIUI.
If I am not mistaken when 2051 came out it still had WS-10C engines. Maybe CAC was being cautious. Test the aerodynamics with 2051, test WS-15 on 2016 first and no major issues developed so let’s test both on 2052.
